Power Technician: San Juan, Puerto Rico
SUMMARY
We would like to announce the recent opening for Systems Maintenance Power Technician, responsible for support, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment pertaining the power system.
To apply you must possess the following requirements:
- Certified Master Electrician with valid license certification
- Must have a demonstrated aptitude for electrical work with the ability to use various hand tools.
- Ability to speak, read and write both Spanish and English in a work setting. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to read schematics and drawings: perform investigations and troubleshooting to reviews defect notices, identifies problems and determines corrective repairs if needed.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Previous work experience in uninterruptible power supply, substation, electronics and/or controls maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud.
