ACI-Herzog is seeking Automatic Train Control (ATC) Technicians to work on the Tren Urbano system in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Tren Urbano is a rapid transit system, comprised of 10.7-miles and 16 stations, serving the municipalities of San Juan, Guaynabo, and Bayamon in Puerto Rico. Tren Urbano is central part of the public transportation network, serving multiple universities and technical colleges, major medical centers, the city’s financial district, entertainment venues and many residential neighborhoods.
Performs complex diagnosis, troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance of the following system or equipment: Automatic Train Control Operations and other related devices.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and at least four (4) years of related work experience. Extended work experience may be substituted for educational credentials if appropriate.
Ability to speak, read and write both Spanish and English in a work setting.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Possession of a valid driver’s license in the appropriate class and any other certificates, licenses and registrations as required by law to perform the specified functions.
